You see, in 2007, I made a crucial decision at a crisis point in our life. Our daughter lost her vision and I quit my job to care for her 24/7. I could twiddle my thumbs or take action.
I chose the latter. I was blessed to participate in a Boot Camp Facilitated by one who is one of my mentors today, I took action and started my own Boot Camp about 2 months later where a very credible Communication’s expert took a chance on me and was our featured speaker.
She kept her appointment with me even though she received another taking my call from the lobby of a 5 star Hotel. Now if that doesn’t boost your confidence I don’t know what will.
I’ve since hosted Telesummits, other virtual events including Boot Camps, hosted “The Empowerment Gathering Live” where women came from across the states, landed an interview with Good Day Sacramento and more.
I was named 1 of 25 urban entrepreneurs to follow on Twitter and received my Social Media Marketing Campaign Specialist Certification. Oh! Our daughter did regain her sight.
Why am I telling you this?
